I'm really ecclectic in my musical tastes. I like a little bit of everything, except say like hardcore rap. I've been into country for years, since I was a kid, and I like a lot of the older country too. Johnny Cash, George Jones, even a bit of Hank Sr. now and then. Waylon Jennings, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, stuff like that...not so much into Willie Nelson, though; I've really got to be in the mood. Then there's Alabama, which I've always loved...Exile, Shenendoah... Getting into newer country, there's the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Martina McBride...the list goes on...

Actually, I'm not exactly clear where the line is between "new country" and "old country". I mean, with some it's really easy to put your finger on, others I don't know.

My best friend Tammy used to hate country, then I went to stay with her once and her boyfriend had gotten her into it. I was cracking up. So, yeah, I kinda know how you and your sister feel. She used to be like, *shudder*. Now that I think about it, I think both of my best friends were like that once, and now they both listen to country. I'm like, "See? See?"
