Die Palpy

I'm really down today. Don't know how much this really helped, but I felt better while making the die Palpy icons. Some of these others are new, some have just been sitting around for a while.

*Unabashedly loves all things relating to Ewan*

*Snerk* Yes, by all means, let us be polite while we're wishing a sudden and horrible death on the Emperor. No need to sink to his levels of viciousness. Do please die now. Thank you!

I wish I knew what 4 refers to. It sounds like there's a story worth knowing in that comment . . .

4 is based on one of my original stories called The Winds of Rhyiandanor. It's a fantasy thing involving a prince with a habit of trying to tell his bodyguard what to do.

[identity profile] polgarawolf.livejournal.com 2007-08-13 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
And the bodyguard then reminds him who's the bodyguard and who's the prince, and whose job it is to ensure that the royal blood stays in the royal body, eh? *Grins* Sounds like there's banter involved (always a good thing).

yep, they're one of my favorite ships. ;D

*Loves couples who banter. Banter is the true spice of life*

[identity profile] polgarawolf.livejournal.com 2007-08-14 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
*Adores banter, forever and ever* This is why I rarely ship anybody who doesn't banter well (at least occasionally). I just have a hard time buying that people who're in love wouldn't occasionally banter.

Which is probably how Daniel/Vala wormed its sneaky little way through my objections.

[identity profile] polgarawolf.livejournal.com 2007-08-14 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, are they snarky? Well, that's something to look forward to, for that season, I guess (even without Jack) . . .

[identity profile] so-out-of-ideas.livejournal.com 2007-08-14 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Snarky doesn't even begin to describe...

[identity profile] polgarawolf.livejournal.com 2007-08-16 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
That is extremely comforting to know. I missed Jack and his banter. Having another snarky person to get the banter going will help.

[identity profile] so-out-of-ideas.livejournal.com 2007-08-16 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
*sigh* I miss Jack. Hence, Jack remains ever-present in my fic.

[identity profile] polgarawolf.livejournal.com 2007-08-16 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
I don't blame you a bit. Daniel and Jack are my favorites, on that show. It just seems wrong, to think about SG-1 and not think of Jack being involved.

[identity profile] so-out-of-ideas.livejournal.com 2007-08-16 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Cam grew on me. Largely, I think, because it was obvious to me how hard Browder worked in s9 and it paid off. I'm not a Farscape fan, so he really had to earn his keep with me on SG-1. Still, Jack will always have a place in my fic because SG-1 was Jack's team first. In my first epic SG-1 fic, there's a part where Cam speaks for the team and asks Jack to lead the mission to save Vala (who at that point is Daniel's wife) and I STILL cry reading it.

*Nods* Sounds reasonable to me. I'll have to watch the actual season episodes, of course, but it's reassuring to know that he does work hard on the show. I'm always leery when shows bring in new characters in major roles (chemistry is a hard thing to get right, and trying to get it right with a new person in place of someone who worked with the team already in place is even harder), and since Jack's one of my favorites I've been putting off watching the season because I was afraid to see how it would've turned out.

I wish I had more time - I'd read the story just to see how that works.

[identity profile] so-out-of-ideas.livejournal.com 2007-08-24 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, I feel the same way about new characters, and I was pretty determined that I would not like Cam. lol.

[identity profile] polgarawolf.livejournal.com 2007-08-25 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
I find that oddly comforting, given that you've apparently decided he's a good guy after all.

[identity profile] so-out-of-ideas.livejournal.com 2007-08-25 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
He can still be annoying, but it's the endearing sort of annoying.

[identity profile] polgarawolf.livejournal.com 2007-08-25 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
I can think of other characters in fandoms I follow who are endearingly annoying. I get the feeling I might actually like the guy, after I watch that season.
