As for Mace, his fight against Palpatine is as much important than the one between the "beast that dwells inside" and Yoda. Mace had always been important to me and I hoped I did a respectful tribute to him. Same for Yoda or characters like Bail or even Mon Mothma. The ones who believed in democracy, justice and peace all deserve to be there. They are all undergoing the consequences of what's happening.
As for Qui-Gon, he was first meant to be only used with Obi-Wan for the family clips, since I used a clip of Anakin with Qui-Gon and Shmi in first chorus, and a clip of Padme and her family in the second chorus. (By the way the Anakin, then Padme, then Obi-Wan part at end of each chorus for 3 of them wasn't intended at first, it came naturally). But I needed more Qui-Gon, it made sense. Like the Shmi one kind of later. I also like to "break" pure chronology in my vids when I can. And as you say Shmi is related to goodness, and showing her towards the end was also past hope that could be related to hope that could live again.
Then, as for my work about this vid working for both stories, it was really the opportunity to show that One Path is pure Starwars, in the sense that many things are just so close to each other. I don't feel like I betrayed canon or One Path in this vid. You can read some clips differently. Yes. But it doesn't mean they don't all come to the same meaning about the friendships and guilt that affected the characters. I was also glad to have your eyes to check the choice of clips, as for the first Dooku one I used, that didn't fit One Path. But I just changed it, and the meaning of it is just the very same, as for the lyrics or the story I wanted to tell.
I think I'll stop here since I get up in less than 6 hours, but I would like to thank you once more for all your support and inspiration. And this review means so much to me.
