Heh. Well, the oldest Nicky's gotten is like 8...in a few of one-shot "sequels" I've written. Between One Path and the way the show was cancelled, the "real" sequel to RH has sort of been derailed.
RH was written mid-season nine, supposing that Vala had been able to destroy the Ori supergate and then ring back to the ship she'd been on instead of what happens in canon. So, really, to understand the AU, all you'd really need to watch is, say 8x12 (Prometheus Unbound) and then 9x01-9x05. It doesn't really deal much with the plot of s9 since I had no idea how the Ori thing was going to be resolved, and s10 wasn't even in the works yet. All you'd need is like the characterization on Vala that you get in those early s9 episodes, because once I get them dating in that fic, I sort of jump ahead and just presume that the Ori aren't an issue in the future.
(The sequel fic was supposed to do sort of what One Path does and re-write the Ori conflict, supposing that they eventually establish a second supergate some 15 years later, which they do only in a matter of months in canon. But...as mentioned...it hasn't gone anywhere since the show was cancelled, and then One Path sort of started eating into my fic time.)
