Most untrained Force sensitives rely on the Force in that intuitive kind of way. Anakin knew things without knowing why before Qui-Gon showed up; his reflexes were faster than normal, but nobody knew it had anything to do with the Force, so yeah, I mean as long as nobody messes with his head and tells him what he's doing is related to the Force he'd be fine.
I don't like Jude Watson. So, the Jedi Apprentice books aren't my thing. I really don't read a lot of Star Wars and when I do it's either because it's related to One Path or it's a book that focuses on Luke, Leia, and Han or some combination of the three.
