One Path quotes

Okay, now I guess I'm just not going back to bed. *facepalm*

I've been thinking for a while about doing a set of One Path quote icons, but the problem is that every time I like sit down to do it, I can't think of quotes. I KNOW there are a ton of humorous and/or squee-worthy quotes in this fic. So, I have decided to compose a list of One Path quotes and leave it open to readers to comment upon and add their input/requests (or use to make their own quote icons if they want, since I know at least one person who reads One Path and makes the occassional icon from it.)

Below are quotes, listed in the order I thought them up because I'm too lazy to even attempt to alphabetize.


"Huh...?" (okay, not very One Path specific, but it cracks me up every time Luke or Han says it, not to mention when Padme did.)

I wasn't thinking of making him a Jedi. Just making him enough force sensitive to answer a few questions. I suppose its never actually stated that one needs the force to wield a lightsaber but the only ones I remember (Oh, I so need to dig out the tapes or spurge and get the DVDs) were Jedis or Siths and Han. And then there was Tattoine Ghost where he was able to ride a pod racing enabled bike. So he wouldn't be trained (I agree that he doesn't have the calm personality that a Jedi would require, but then Luke sometimes doesn't either).

Oh, I don't read the NJO stories. So No Chewie dying. Or Little Anakin. or Jacian becoming Darth Jr. I read summeries every once and awhile to get ideas on the characters used, but I never got into the series.

O.o sorry...Little Anakin to me is someone else. Momentary brain burp there. Anyway, the Force isn't required to use a lightsaber for something as simple as what Han does in ESB, but the gyroscopic action requires a tremendoes amount of physical strength and extremely fast reflexes to compensate for in a situation where you have to move the weapon a lot faster and use it for defense or attack. Greivous wasn't Force-sensitive but his reflexes were a lot faster than a human's and he was incredibly strong. (he uses lightsabers in CW cartoon and if I remember right, the RotS novel and Labyrinth of Evil, which I read for One Path) The Jedi and Sith use the Force to enhance their physical abilities in combat even when they aren't jumping or flipping all over the place.

The difference between Luke and Han is trust. Han doesn't trust the Force. He rarely trusts people, and he doesn't trust himself. Luke learned to trust the Force and himself, and generally speaking he was a pretty trusting fellow when it came to others. Jedi calm is largely a matter of discipline anyway.

I think what you're talking about could potentially work but you're going to have a hard time getting Han into any kind of a situation where he's going to accept the Force sensitivity thing, trained or not. Put in a situation where he has to rely on the Force consciously even a little, you're going to have issues. The man can't let go enough to do that. And as soon as anyone tells him, "Hey, Han, you've got Force powers," he's going to be one unhappy camper and probably bolt or something. That's my two cents on it, but it's just my opinion.

You know, if I had asked my mom or sister any of this they'd give me a look and tell me I'm overanalysing. You I can discuss things with and learn stuff:)

Hmm...Well, I know for certian that if Han ever figured out he had force-sensitivity he'd be irratated. I don't suppose there be a level where one would have the sensitivity but it wouldn't show in any way that would noticable say "Hey, The force is here!" Some unconcious thing that he relys on without knowing it, thinking perhaps it's just his intution.

This wouldn't go into the story for a long time. Right now I'm still in the Prequels and studying the clones. I need to get RoTS and the interm books still. I've only gotten the OS, PM, AoTC and one book which I'm not sure if I owned or if I took it out of the library and just don't remember that fact (if so, it would explain my lack of seeing it anywhere) where it was Obi-wan and Qui-gon before PM.

Ever read the Jedi Apprentice series?

Well, y'know. My family thinks I'm pretty much nuts anyway, so whatever. lol.

Most untrained Force sensitives rely on the Force in that intuitive kind of way. Anakin knew things without knowing why before Qui-Gon showed up; his reflexes were faster than normal, but nobody knew it had anything to do with the Force, so yeah, I mean as long as nobody messes with his head and tells him what he's doing is related to the Force he'd be fine.

I don't like Jude Watson. So, the Jedi Apprentice books aren't my thing. I really don't read a lot of Star Wars and when I do it's either because it's related to One Path or it's a book that focuses on Luke, Leia, and Han or some combination of the three.

My family thinks I've got some kind of Obessive complusive disorder when comes to my fandoms, Stargate in particular.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Well, the plan was that one of Han's parents would be a Jedi, someone at least partially trainned in the Jedi Arts. From all I have read so far in the Han Solo Trilogy and others Han never really had time with his parents so he'd never know if they were force sensitive or not. So he had it, but was unaware of it and since really Luke was the only real Jedi master there was no one to wonder if he did. Plus he'd be too old to train so whose to say they would tell him anyway.

I liked them, but I only read one or two so I'm not sure how he had the whole series. I've got a couple of the Post RoTJ books (including the one where Mara and Luke get engaged), but most of my books are Han or Obi-wan related. Or novelizations of the books. I have the trilogy in one volume and two of the prequels. I don't have any of the NJO because after hearing Chewie died and then Anakin Solo died I wasn't...well, pleased with the idea of reading that.
