I've been experimenting with coloring again, and I chose some fandoms at random to see what I'd get with this. Two of these fandoms are new for me, though not new shows. I seem to be continuing my tradition of discovering wonderful, underrated, and/or obscure television programs long after cancellation.

I received Highlander: The Series as a birthday gift and The Raven happened to be included in the boxset. Amanda was always my favorite of the immortals--no, sorry, I am not a Methos groupie--so, I decided to check the show out. I have to confess that after hearing this show bashed for so long I did not have high hopes for it, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm sorry that show's production problems overshadowed so much of it because it really had the potential to develop into something remarkable. There are only a few icons here but I will be posting a bigger set in the next few days.

I also happened to discover Witchblade earlier this year, and I have to say that Sarah has become one of my all time favorite television characters. (Not an easy list to make it onto).

I would heartily recommend both of these shows to anyone who enjoys shows with intelligent female leads rather than cliched ones.

I made icons from episodes 1-10 of Evangelion back in August and I'm just getting around to posting them. As a caveat, I've only seen this show from the episodes I could find on YouTube, and I'm not a big enough anime fan to go hunting it down, so I may or may not finish the series. I have a tendency to make large sets of icons (like, entire seasons worth) and either forget or be unmotivated to post them to communities. The last time I think I posted to comms was some time in May, and I have made a lot of icons since then, with subjects from live action films, TV, and animation. For the past couple of months (off and on) I've been trying to compile a Master List of icon posts. A complete list of subjects are under the cut. MOST of the animated film icons are new, and there are a ton of them. Posts contain an average of 160 icons apiece.

I had a burst of random inspiration the other day. Made some big collages and then decided to do matching headers, icons and stuff. The BSG stuff was a late addition. It's not really my fandom anymore. I gave up on it in season 3, so don't expect much more from me in this fandom, but Aruna needed cheering up so I decided to make an Adama/Roslin manip. I figured if I didn't do Kara/Lee as well, someone would ask for it, so I threw that in too. Somewhere along the way, the mess ended up inspiring Aruna's new crack series, Unexpected Ways. This is what happens to sleep deprived geniuses with no opportunities for vidding, I suppose. I can also post the uncolored manip, as well as a simple color treatment on the Apollo/Starbuck promo in case anyone wants to use and/or stare at them.

I'm going to let the icons function as teasers for the entire batch. I forgot the First Knight icons. Sorry about that.

I had a minor mental/emotional meltdown recently. Coped by making a ton of icons. I had intended to finish season 1 of TNG, but I didn't realize that my monitor's slow death had also resulted in odd color problems. I made it to 1x13 before the monitor actually died. When I got my new one, I noticed that many of the icons were either very red or very white. I weeded through and tried to salvage what I could of the batches, but what I ended up with was a mixed bag of s1 icons, and I'm not in the mood to make a second attempt at full episodes.

I also did some icons of some random scenes from later seasons of TNG, a lot from "The Child" which is one of my all time favorite TNG episodes. Then I decided that I might as well DO the episode, so rather than dupicate scenes, I did an episodic batch MINUS the scenes I'd already done. Bit disorganized but oh well.

I am also undergoing an obsession period with Worf/K'Ehleyr so I iconned "The Emmissary" and "Reunion". Probably going to have to do some Worf/Jadzia, soon, too.

I did a few TOS eps...The Apple, by request of

cha_aka and I Mudd and Mudd's Women, personal faves of mine. More to come.

I am still not entirely pleased with the coloring on my Star Trek sets, which means I will be inundating you with Star Trek whenever I post icons for a while. These are decent. The TNG s2 are the best, but none of it completely satisfies me.

Thanks to my new boxset, my inspiration for Stargate seems to be re-awakening. So, I have a couple new sets of SG-1/SGA icons too. Kind of mashed it together into one post because it wasn't really big enough to be worth posting separately.

And finally, an assortment of Herc/Xenaverse, also mashed together into a single post.
