SG-1 is really the first fandom I've been into since TNG. (SW really doesn't count there, because SW has been part of my life pretty much as long as I can remember.) and what hooked me about the show was the bond of friendship between the team. Obviously if a plot is just stupid I probably won't stick around very long, but I really wanted to know these people, who they were, what they thought, and how that friendship had developed. I care a whole heck of a lot more about the lives of the characters than I do about the missions themselves, except as the missions function to develop and explore the inner workings of the characters.

As far as Dagobah and the Falcon, that's pretty much what I'd planned, but I guess I need another brain sometimes to check things with and make sure that what works for me as a writer is going to make sense to another fan--especially one with more knowledge of the fandom than I have. I'm a lot more confident in my ability to get SG-1 right than SW, actually. But then my SG-1 fic doesn't usually attempt to re-tell episodes... *ponders*
