*Nods* My mom always says that it's like ST for a more immediate future, with a side-helpig of MacGyver. The two of us originally started watching the show actually because of who plays Jack, just out of curiosity, but we stuck around because it reminded us of ST. It has the same kind of cooperative, exploratory spirit that ST has. There are threats, but people work together and find a way to defuse them. SW . . . well, the title says it all, really, doesn't it? It's about wars among the stars, and finding hope and goodness and redemption to still be possible, even in the midst of such awful circumstances, and striving, always, for peace (either for its establishment or for its preservation in the face of potential tipping points that could set off more galactic-wide battles).
