All right...I wrote a Sam/Jack poem a while back and it occurred to me to write a similar D/V one. So I thought, "Hmmm...if love is an empty room to Sam and Jack...to Daniel and Vala, it would be...ooooh..."



Fire

Love is fire
Licking at my skin
Hot death
Acrid, burning in my nostrils
While you finally wear away my defenses

Love is fire
Raging in my blood

But I can’t reach you

Love is midnight
I’m alone
There’s nothing left but cold

Nothing but hard stone under my knees

That was very touching. I could almost feel the cooling breeze against her skin when she came back to life. Wonderful imagery. I saw Avalon 2 tonight. I have to say it was a bit hard to watch there at the end when Vala was screaming. This is totally off the topic but I can't stand this new doctor. Dr Lam, she just rubs me up the wrong way I guess!?!?! Bring back Janet Fraiser!!

I love Janet, too. I don't know, though, later I find myself liking Carolyn, maybe a bit despite myself. I think what appeals to me is the relationship between her and her father; I'm a sucker for father/daughter relationships.
