Blade Trinity Icons, personal ramblings, more on my plot monster...

Wow, this month really snuck by, didn't it? I can't believe how quickly it went. But November is almost upon us. I've put off posting about this, but the time has come for me to make a decision about whether to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. I really want to. Really. I have an idea I thought would be a lot of fun. But the sad reality is that this a bad time for me to start yet another writing project. I have struggled with Bloodkin since last December and progress is slow. Although I have been pushing myself like crazy to get One Path up to a point where I can break off for a while without either losing momentum or having readers left with a cliffhanger, it hasn't happened. I can't use Bloodkin for NaNo again, since it's a work in progress already. I also can't use One Path because (A) it's also a WIP and (B) the nature of the AU requires that blocks of dialogue be taken from the SW film novelizations and re-written, which disqualifies the story from Nano.

So, the bottom line is, unless something miraculous happens between now and Nov. 1, I won't be participating in NaNoWriMo. *sigh*

I've also been really struggling with the icon claim I currently have at iconic_ships, on Obidala. I can't explain that, but I have been. I made some new AotC and TPM icon bases, however, and that seems to have given me some ideas, so I *might* be able to get the claim done within the next couple of weeks. Until then, however, I will continue to play hookey from weekly challenges at obidalastills and obiwanstillness.

Now for the good news. I bring you Blade Trinity icons in celebration of Halloween.

I started these a while ago because I enjoy making art based on my original stories and a few characters in Bloodkinverse appear in this film. These mainly feature Jessica Biel and Wesley Snipes. No Dracula and no gore.

You should do what my friend is doing. She's not actively partispating in NANO, but she's trying to use the time to work on her one story. Essentially she isn't in the program to win a icon for 50,000 words, but she's using the goal on a WIP.

The main reason I'm not participating is because I can't leave One Path where it is right now, readers would murder me. Participating officially or not, 50k in 30 days means that I won't be POSTING anything for 30 days at least.

You have more strength then me. I post as soon as I finish a chapter.

Although, I've decided not to do NANO either, since I have enough to do with School and all, so I'm just going to do a fake NANO some other month.

Well, the thing is, I have other things to do too, and if I were trying to do Nano, I would be exhausted and posting would just not be an option. The goal of Nano for me is to just push through and write, which means keep going. Things need to be edited and then coded for html for posting on LJ.

I came for Ryan Reynolds, but I'm leaving with Jessica Biel. These icons are gorgeous, and the colors are amazing. They're all beautiful, and I"m going to have trouble deciding which ones to use. Thank you for sharing! :-)
