I'm Back...

Hello, everyone. Long time no see.

My "hiatus for the summer," which I began on 5-7-09 turned into an almost year-long sabbatical from fandom activities. The only exceptions have been a few fanvids and some graphics here and there. I've been lurking again for about a month, dabbling at fanfics, but I hesitated to make an announcement that I was back, because I didn't know if I could post again, and I didn't want to disappoint readers. I can say now that I have, indeed returned. Look for fic posts later this month. Most of my inspiration is falling in an obscure little movie-verse which, for the moment at any rate, seems to be a fandom of one. I do, however, have a little piece of Star Wars fiction on its way that might make Land and Sky readers happy. The One Path sequel is in its development/note-taking stages, but it's coming along nicely. My ability to write SG-1 is still sketchy at best, but I promise that there will be more in the Rediscovered Hearts universe someday.

My first goal is to finish up with some Star Wars related claims that I've had outstanding since 08. (Yeah, just a little while.) After that, I'll be working on a fic in the aforementioned fandom of one. Original writing is still my priority right now, though, so at best you can expect a fic post twice a month. (Unless of course some completely insane fit of inspiration strikes, which has happened before.)

This is my list of active/semi-active fanfic projects, in order of priority:

Land and Sky: Places Brothers Go (Land and Sky Prequel story, focusing on Obi-Wan.)

Getting (It) Together (Breaking Up Sequel)

Gemini Tide (Crossover fanfic between the movies Proof of Life and No Way Back.)

One Path: The Kenobi Way--Jedi Heritage (One Path, kind of a prologue to The Kenobi Way series, tells the story of how Ani Kenobi became a Jedi Knight.)

Vader's Cat (Vader's continuing adventures as a pet owner)

Rediscovered Hearts: The Price (RH sequel part 1, mostly about Vala and her sisters.)

If the brothers' story doesn't wrap up my claims, Ani will be bumped to the top of the queue when I've finished it. Everything else can be considered on the back burner for now.

I can't promise I'll be very good at reading my flist or commenting to posts for a while. If there's something you want me to see, just drop a comment, IM me or send me an email. :)

I hear you about how projects can be pushed aside with various taking over, including when it comes to fandom projects. *nods*

Anyway, I completely approve of anything having to do with 'Breaking Up'. Still have to watch the movie, but it's already ripped. *cough* Yeah that bad. *winks*

If I'm around, I'm always game to discuss anything SW related as well. =) I still hope to get back into One Path verse vidding wise. *nods*

It seems to be the story of my life as a Genius.

Okay, so...fandom of two. *winks* I rented two movies with Salma Hayek last week, one of which had the entire plot revolving around her pregnancy and fit nicely into what I had already planned for my sequel to the movie. *cough* *cough*

I know it feels weird to do anything related to SW without my fellow Genius on IM. It's kind of like trying to walk on one foot or something.

I'm still in the middle of the process of translating/editing my novel in English. I'm only at the beginning of part 2 out of 7 or 8. And I also started to work on a short story in that verse, trying to come up with some of those to expand a period of time I don't develop that much in the book itself.

Vidding wise, well I've only finished one so far this year, and have 2 in the making right now. Vidding clip collection is slowly coming back to life, but beyond slow.

Well I tend to be on invi on AIM, but never hesitate to drop me a line because if I'm around I'll answer. And except my RPing verse, I kind of suck at working on SW without you around.

*nods* It sounds similar to what I'm doing with the brothers' story actually. It's gotten quite a bit longer than I intended, but whatever. I should expect these things I guess.

I had a slight vidding crisis myself recently. Accidentally deleted all my clips and then the drive with the backups wouldn't work. Managed to get it working and restore MOST of what I had, but some is gone for good. Also the SW clips and anything else you sent me doesn't want to work on my new computer, so I don't know when or if I'll be able to vid One Path again. *headdesk*

Haven't been able to get AIM working lately, but I'll see what I can do. Btw, you still need to upload me the vids you did for your dad. XD.

I think that with all the things going on in my life lately, I got a bit sidetracked either in original writing or fandom related stuff. Both vids I'm working on btw are daughters. And one is such a nasty daughter of doom that she really is killing me. *sigh* But might turn out as one of my best (SPN/Dean vid).

Wonderful about the former SW clips and One Path not working anymore. Well I lost them all, so I have to start from scratch and some clips I had before well were DL after ages of search and hunting so I'm unlikely to find them again.

Oh and I watched only the Caprica pilot so far, but pure Ani when he doesn't wear glasses for Eric Stoltz. *grins* And he has a brunette daughter. *grins*

Yeah, I know. When I ever get my Netflix queue down under the 400 DVD range, it'll be nice.

Thanks a lot sweetie! I hope to finish them within the next (couple of) month(s). No I don't think I have actually seen that one. I'll definitely check, because I know that I wasn't always around the internet.

I don't even want to think about all that I need to rip again and the renaming and the sorting out... And all that I should DL/buy then... *hears bank account screaming* Okay, maybe in a couple of years again? *cough*

It's kinda 4am here, and given that I've basically studied 700 pages in less than 3 days, lacked sleep (sleep what sleep? hello insomnia my old friend) I think I might try to actually erm... Sleep? Mulder and Anders are still on the dying side, but I hope they'll hang on for at least an other year. *crosses fingers*

Thanks. I decided to take the summer off for work reasons, then I moved, and since then I've just been so focused on Bloodkin that I didn't have room for anything else. There's been an assortment of RL problems, but I'm going to try to be on LJ more frequently until the holidays.
