So, I have a new ship. *headdesk* Never in my life have I shipped Obidala. I always thought, "Ewww..." but aruna7 and I were talking and one thing led to another. I was wanting to "improve" the plot of the prequels today anyway, and...well...Anakin is an idiot. My main problem with Obidala has always been the fact that I can't see a dark, broody, secretive Obi Wan who would like secretly lust after a woman, or even secretly love a woman, and certainly not try to take Anakin's wife, but someone said, "I think Obi Wan would rather leave the Jedi Order. He's too honorable." And someone wondered how that would affect things and plot ideas started, and then SOMEONE said, "Who's the father?" and bang. We have ourselves a new project. Which we both need like a hole in the head. However. Iconage.

Definately. We just finished the outline for how it plays out across all six movies and Aruna's started the vid trailer. Stay tuned.

Like I said in my post, the main problem for me was how would work and keep Obi true to character. But I think we did it. Of course I am biased, because it's my new plot baby.

Not at all. It forces one to pace the reading, draw it out like a multi-course meal.

Plus I get a little intimidated by single posts that are just _huge_, 'cause I seldom have the time to sit down and read it all in one go, anyway.

Some of my fic posts are actually pretty huge anyway, even for chapters. But I try to write for scifi_five where the max word limit is 5000. Usually I run about 1000-2000 per chapter though, unless I really get into something.

2000 is a good size for a chapter; that's about the length mine tend to be. I don't like them _too_ short, either, because then it just feels like a teaser.

I don't have a set limit, but that's what I aim for. I will say I don't always post to comms immediately, so I do sometimes end up with more than one chapter in a post. I have no idea where I'd even post this particular fic anyway, since most of the comms I belong to are Stargate related.

There was this icon in my RotS batch and we both went "Ooooooooooooh...." and then we were both like, "You know, I really don't like Obidala, but that looks..." and then we started talking about WHY we didn't like Obidala, and SOMEONE mentioned the idea of him leaving the order and...yeah.
