I don't have many Star Trek sets, so I'm putting the links all in one table for now. Probably will move TOS/TNG into separate posts at some point after I finish TNG Season 1. I really don't know if I'll ever icon Enterprise, DS9, or Voyager. Posts average 160 icons apiece

stargatefangurl's recent Xena icon posts on dreamerland have reminded me how much I used to love Hercules and Xena...erm. Okay. Total honesty here. How much I loved Ares: God of War. Unlike SG-1, no matter how much I enjoyed the humor or the friendships between the heroes, this was a fandom I loved for a villain. I'm sure that I'll make Xena and Herc icons again, and when I do, I'll have something for fans of other characters.

As an Ares fangirl, though, I really wanted a collection of good icons devoted to him that I could either use as is or have on hand as bases if I wanted them. The PROBLEM with being an Ares fangirl is that Ares himself doesn't like being neglected. So, as penance for the fact that I've posted only ONE other set of Ares icons, the God of War demanded nothing less than a COMPLETE set. He wanted me to do the Young Herc eps too, but I managed to convince him that I should hold something in reserve for next time.

The day I started making this, my brain also produced a new story called "The Winds of Rhyiandanor. I suppose it was inevitable that Kevin Smith ends up doubling as Davron. Heh. So, whether you see the God of War or The Dragonborn Prince, I hope you'll enjoy.

I give you The Complete Ares, featuring icons from every episode of Herc or Xena in which he appeared.

*Although Xena is the only character I ever shipped with Ares, there are a few other pairings represented here because the caps just begged to be used. So, I hope you'll find something you like if you're looking for shippy icons.

*Sorry, I didn't separate by episode. These were done over a week at night when I was too braindead to write anymore. I just made them until I was ready for sleep and then saved and picked up the next day.

*I broke them up into posts of about 160 icons apiece in an attempt to make it a little more dialup friendly.

*Also backdated my posts this time to avoid being murdered by those who would rather not have to scroll through ten posts.

*I want to make one comm post for these rather than several over the course of the next few weeks, so I've made a link table again with teasers for each post. If you snag from more than one post and just want to comment at the table post, that's fine.

aruna7 and I have the utmost respect for the work of George Lucas. We understand that his vision for the Star Wars Saga was complete in his mind before A New Hope was ever introduced to the rest of the world. We also know that the characters of the Star Wars movies were meant to be in some ways reflective of literary and mythological archetypes. In writing One Path, it is our main hope to keep those characters true to Lucas' portrayal of them while exploring another possible avenue for the unfolding of events in the galaxy.

You will find many elements here with which you are familiar. This is still the story of good versus evil played out on a galactic scale. It is still the story of the love between a man and woman, a father and son, a brother and sister. It is still the story of heroism and betrayal, of faithfulness, sacrifice, and ultimately, of redemption. One Path is also the story of Obi Wan Kenobi and Padme Amidala who find a sort of happiness that they were never allowed in canon. It was conceived in our love for them, and our hope is to honor Lucas' vision of them as we take them down a path they never traveled. Welcome to One Path.
